QR Code Scanner & PDF Scan Policy

We do not collect, store, or share any personal data from users of the QR Code Scanner app. All scanning operations are run client-side on your device.

The application only performs the following actions locally on your device:

  • Scanning QR codes and traditional barcodes.
  • Generating custom QR code graphics.
  • Cropping, filtering, and organizing image scans into PDF files.

These operations occur entirely on your device and are not sent to any external server.

2. Use of Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics (a mobile application diagnostics tool provided by Google) to understand usage trends and improve general stability. Firebase Analytics collects non-personal, aggregated usage statistics, which may include:

  • Device type and model.
  • Installed app version.
  • Basic system events (crashes, interface interactions).

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share any aggregated usage logs or other app-related metrics with third-party companies, advertising networks, or individuals outside of Google Firebase services mentioned above.

4. QR Code & Scan Content

The data contained within QR codes you scan or generate:

  • Remains strictly stored locally on your device storage.
  • Is never uploaded to any cloud infrastructure (we do not run proprietary database servers for this app).
  • Is never analyzed for profiling purposes.

5. Permissions Required

To perform its core functions, the application may request:

  • Camera Permission: Required solely to capture QR codes via the physical lens. The app does not record, upload, or transmit any video footage or camera frames.
  • Storage Access (optional): Required only if you select a picture from your local device gallery to scan for codes or choose to export PDF files to your local files storage.

No other permissions are requested or required to run the application.
